Founded in Cadorago in 1961 as “SALA GIOVANNI”, the company began as a gravity casting foundry producing brass, bronze, and aluminium components in the Como area.
As the market evolved, the company chose to specialize exclusively in aluminium alloys, discontinuing brass and bronze. During the same period, coal-fired furnaces were replaced with electric melting furnaces, significantly improving the working environment and meeting new hygiene, safety, and environmental standards.
In the 1990s, the company took a further step forward by opening a die casting department, now equipped with three automated machines of different tonnages.
Today, Fonderia Sala operates across a wide range of sectors—from food to mechanical to automotive—using various aluminium alloys and offering a complete product: machining, surface treatments, and heat treatments.
Flexibility is one of the company’s strengths: we can quickly start production using different alloys, such as aluminium-magnesium, aluminium-copper, aluminium-silicon, and aluminium-zinc. This capability applies to both gravity die casting and die casting processes.
